Here it is, the auction just before it was due to close yesterday afternoon. This year's premiership has been the most exciting for years, after the FA decided for the first time to put the trophy up for auction.
An FA spokeman said: "In the past, football fans have complained that the Premiership is not exciting enough since only one of two teams are usually going to win it. By putting it on ebay, we have created a bit of excitement, especially in the last few minutes."
The auction was won by a Russian billionaire who, despite having billions of quid, can't seem to get to grips with the art of shaving, as well as failing to have any dress sense whatsoever.
In the mid-nineties, bag-eyed steel magnate Jack Walker bought the title for second division minnows Blackburn Rovers, by employing boring Alan Shearer as a sort of charisma-less, goal scoring robot. Apart from that, it has been traditional for Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger to "go dutch", sharing the title between them, every other year or so.
