Typical of council workers to make a simple category error like the one in the picture. Unfortunately, it's not a simple choice between No War and Pensions. It's more like a choice between no more stinging Council Tax Bills, that fuck us all royally, and for which we get fuck all in return, and Pensions.
Council workers have a reputation for being lazy, incompetent, skiving, malingering deadwood, which is a little unfair. No, they're more like incompetent, lazy, skiving malingerers who would last less than five minutes in a real job.
Seriously though, the incompetent bastards are the management. They waste the money, our money. They're the ones who get looked after when they should be sacked, and possibly prosecuted for gross misconduct every time their scandalous and criminal incompetence is (eventually) revealed. Instead they are allowed to retire early, at say, fifty. On full, final salary pension. It's a fucking outrage. Sometimes these cunts even get another job as a "consultant" at a neighbouring council. In which case why are we paying for their pensions?
The irony is that ordinary, hard working public sector employees are the ones who are going to lose their pension rights. I can guarantee you that those who are actually responsible for wasting and/or stealing our money, will still get their undeserved nest egg.
It's typical of Blair's Britain that ordinary working people have been deliberately divided, tearing into each other, when we're all being fucked at the same time, and we can't see the wood for the trees. Do you think for a minute that all the deadwood, money wasting middle management, government suck-arse cunts are going to have to change their retirement age? They will continue to retire in their early fifties, and draw huge pensions. Meanwhile, many other council employees, who are doing the day to day work will not only lose their original pension rights, they will also bear the brunt of the public's hatred, and will be purposely and unfairly painted as the money grabbing villains.
Our council tax bills will still go up, because the executives are the ones who cost us the real money, and this is not going to change. If anything it will get worse, because some bright spark will have the idea of creating a new department to manage our discontent with the whole criminal arrangement. The real money wasters will hide further and further behind layers of management until they are untouchable. A bit like all the people who run the privatized utilities. The unlucky bastards who are on strike now are going to end up having to work until they drop, just like the rest of us.
So it's no good just not collecting my rubbish, refusing to stand in the road with your lollypop or refusing to clean the local primary school. The cunts in charge are just laughing at us all, because you are just waging war on you own side. Why not instead consider throwing your own shit at the directors of the local council where you work, or doorstepping the former director of Housing who mysteriously retired at fifty-two after numerous allegations of fraud/sexual harrassment/incompetence (delete as applicable). This is what you should be doing, and I for one, would proudly stand by your side, brother.
