So after all the mess Bush has made, and the number of times that his moronic public appearances have demonstrated what a first class idiot he so obviously is, so totally unfit to be left in charge of a toy cupboard let alone run a superpower, they vote the chimp back in. Unbelievable. It's as though half the US not only believes in, but actually revels in its own gun-toting, yee-haw ignorance.
Why should we care? After all, it's not our election or our President. Well, the fact is that Britain is seen as an ally of the United States, particularly after Tony Blair's decision to back Bush every step of the way. Bush is serving his own interests, which would be fine were it not for the fact that he thinks he can wade into the Middle-East and try to get their oil. This is obviously going to create yet more hatred for the US (and its allies) among the people of the Middle-East, and is the best way to ensure Al Qaeda enjoys a steady stream of eager recruits.
Bush doesn't care, because he's got an underground concrete bunker to hide in. From their respective hiding places, Bush and bin Laden can enjoy playing their own little personal game of war with each other, safe in the knowledge that they will be the last ones to get killed. It's all the rest of us that has to live with the increased danger he's created.
